MVCC Santa Monica Airport Survey

The Mar Vista Community Council has been conducting a survey regarding the impact of various aspects of Santa Monica Airport air traffic on the surrounding neighborhoods. The survey was initiated in the spring of 2008 and is ongoing at this time. Please click here to access the online survey.

Each question also provided space for written “Comments” by the respondent. And although these are not included in the numerical results for each question, they provide some of the most interesting and thought-provoking responses for each question. These comments are included in their entirety here, and it is highly recommended that interested parties peruse these comments. For additional information regarding the comments, please click here.
The Comments responses have variable material which cannot be easily categorized, but the comments in their entirety reflect the unique, individual voices of our community. Taken all together these comments reflect the diverse Voice of Mar Vista stakeholders. No one has been edited out because of content. You will hear the anger, frustration, fear, hope, indifference, irony, sarcasm, humor, empathy, intolerance, and even some joy that all reside in our community, together. If you prefer tallies and numerical counts, which can give a more factual look to data, the tabulated, numerical part of the survey is for you. Both parts of the survey together give a fuller picture.
